We have changed our name and became member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA)
In summer, the NGO Derbianus CSAW officially changed its name, becoming now Derbianus Conservation. However, its activities are still the same.

Since 2010, the NGO Derbianus has focused on conservation of the critically endangered Western Derby eland in Senegal. This organization already has several times received worldwide recognition; now it has become a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).
Although the NGO Derbianus owns no animals, it met all the criteria to become an associate member of the EAZA and may enjoy all the benefits of the membership. "With the membership, we can for example participate in annual meetings of the EAZA, which is important for us because it allows us to share information and keep in touch with experts on breeding and conservation of antelopes, "said Karolína Brandlova, president of the NGO. "In addition, membership implies the possibility to work actively with the group of experts on breeding of antelopes and giraffes called Giraffe and Antelope TAG," she adds.
Since 2012, the NGO Derbianus has been a partner of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and has received a prestigious award "WAZA-branded Conservation Project". This year, the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic officially commissioned the NGO Derbianus to protect Derby eland in Senegal on the side of the Czech Republic.
